Notes: In honor of the recent surfacing of a master recording of the third and final night, here's another treat. There are 2 known recordings of this show (the second night). The most common source (the one we've all been listening to for years) is complete but sounds like shit. Here we have a second, superior recording. This is the source for the incomplete 'The 11 Commandments' bootleg. To my knowledge this is the first time that this source has been shared in full. This is a major upgrade. I've also included a speed-corrected version of the bootleg, because it ran way too fast which made it unlistenable. While it's incomplete, I've included it because (by the sound of it) it's of lower generation than my tape.
I consider the 3-night stand at MSG one of the highlights of the entire UYI Tour. What an epic show. Look at that setlist. They still played as if their lives depended on it. Too bad they couldn't keep it up for the rest of the tour/their career. This was GNR. At least we'll always have the memories and the recordings.
